Day 3: Outing to the Dandenong Hills: Grant’s Picnic grounds for morning tea. Visit Quilt Shop in Monbulk. Lunch at Micawber’s Irish Pub. Free afternoon sightseeing. Evening with hosts.

Day 4: Drive to Mornington and sightsee around Mornington Markets. Tour McCrae Homestead and Museum. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the gardens. Further sightseeing around the peninsular in the afternoon. Ambassadors may like to take their hosts out to dinner this evening.

Day 5: Guided tour of the Victorian Police Academy, including a buffet luncheon. Afternoon free. Evening with Hosts.

Day 6: Day Hosting and Pot Luck Dinners

Day 7: Free day and Spit Roast Farewell Dinner at the Box Hill Lions Club.

Day 8: Departure of Ambassadors

LUGANSK, UKRAINE 2008

Day 1: Late Arrival of Ambassadors

Day 2: Free day with hosts, followed by Welcome Picnic at Studley Park.

Day 3: Free Day with Hosts

Day 4: Day Hosting with Barbeques at night

Day 5: City Tour: Meet at Federation Square. Break into small groups and look at sights around city in the morning. Lunch at own cost at Southbank Food Court. Visit and afternoon tea at Melbourne TownHall. Evening meal with hosts.

Day 6: Puffing Billy Steam Train and Rhododendron Gardens: Meet on Belgrave Station for Puffing Billy trip to Lakeside. Drive to the Rhododendron Gardens for lunch and tour the gardens.Ambassadors may like to take their hosts out for dinner.

Day 7: Free Day with Hosts and Farewell Dinner at the Box Hill Lions Club Hall.

Day8: Departure of Ambassadors

BUNDABERG, 2007

Day 1 : Arrival of ambassadors and welcome picnic at Studley Park Gardens

Day 2: City tour including visits to the Australian Art Gallery, Federation Square, Arts Centre, Southbank, Sunday Market etc. (Lunch at own expense). Pot luck dinners in the evening.

Day 3: Tour of Guide Dog Association, including lunch. Afternoon and evening free.

Day4: Visit to Royal Botanic Gardens, Australian Garden at Cranbourne. (Lunch at own expense). Free afternoon. Pot luck dinners in the evening.

Day 5: Guided tour of Victorian Police Academy, including a buffet luncheon. Visit the Dandenongs in the afternoon. Evening free.

Day 6: Tour of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. (Lunch at own expense). In the afternoon optional visits could be made to the Tapestry Workshop, Shrine etc. Club Dinner at Balmoral Gardens Retirement Village.

Day 7: Drive to Mornington Peninsula. Morning tea at the Portsea Pier. Picnic lunch at Port Philip Heads. Visit Arthur’s Seat and Sea winds. Evening free.

Day 8: Ambassadors depart Melbourne.

NEWJERSEY, USA 2007

Day 1: Arrival of Ambassadors. Welcome tea in Valley Reserve, Mt Waverley.

Day 2: City Tour: Meet at Federation Square Information Centre Reception and tour of Melbourne Town Hall. Lunch at Australia on Collins (own expense), free city bus tour and visit to Observation Deck for spectacular views of the city.

Day 3: Guided tour of Victorian Police Academy, including buffet lunch. Rest of day free with hosts with Pot Luck dinners in the evening.

Day 4: Free day with Hosts. Ambassadors to take Hosts out for dinner at night.

Day 5: Visit to Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary for a guided tour. BBQ at Badger Creek and time permitting, a visit to Yarra Valley wineries.

Day 6: Day Hosts to entertain Ambassadors (including evening meal).

Day 7: Free day with Hosts. Farewell Dinner at the Mulgrave Country Club.

Day 8: Departure of Ambassadors.

KARSIYAKA BAY, TURKEY 2006

Day 1: Evening arrival of hosts.

Day 2: Picnic lunch at the George Tindale Gardens in the Dandenongs. Rest of day free with hosts.

Day 3: Free day with hosts.

Day 4: Day Host will look after the Ambassadors for the day and dinner.

Day 5: City tour including visit to the Melbourne Town Hall. Lunch at own cost. Potluck Dinners.

Day 6: Bus trip to Phillip Island. Trip will include Pelicans, Koalas, lunch, walk at Nobbies and short visit to Penguin building. Ambassadors to take hosts out to dinner.

Day 7: Free day with hosts.

Day 8: Farewell Dinner at Bennettswood Tennis Club

Day 9: Ambassadors depart.

MARLBOROUGH NZ 2005

Day 1: Late arrival of Ambassadors by train.

Day 2: Free Day with Hosts. Evening ‘Welcome Dinner’ at Glen Waverley R.S.L. Club.

Day 3: Travel to Geelong and visit the Wool Museum. Drive along the Geelong sea front and stop at the Old Carousel. Lunch at Clifton Springs Golf Club before catching the Queenscliff Ferry to Sorrento. Drive home along bay visiting Arthur’s Seat on the way.

Day 4: City Walking Tour. Meeting at Federation Square, tour of the Town Hall. Walk through arcades and visit the Rialto and Crown Casino.

Day 5: Day Hosts to entertain the Ambassadors for the day, including the evening meal.

Day 6: ree day with hosts. Ambassadors to take hosts to dinner in the evening.

Day 7: Visit Government House, Shrine and Botanic Gardens. Farewell Dinner at night at the home of Maria and Mick Smith.

Day 8: Departure of ambassadors.
